Anyone who keeps hens on their property must apply for a hen permit, which must be issued prior to any hens arriving on your property.
The application process includes:
- Submitting a complete hen permit application to the City in the form attached as Schedule “A” to this bylaw to the Animal Control Department;
- The applicant obtaining and providing the City with written consent from the property owner, if applicable; and
- Paying the one-time application fee as found in the Fees and Charges Bylaw.
