Canucks Young Stars

The Vancouver Canucks has announced the details for the 2023 Young Stars Classic, which is scheduled to return to the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, B.C. from Sept. 15-18, 2023.

Watch some action-packed hockey featuring prospects from the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets.

Hey, hockey fans!  Are you planning to come to the Young Stars Classic and have some downtime?  Fin has some tips of things to do! Why not head to Skaha Lake Beach for some volleyball? Or dip a toe in the water, build a sand castle or just have a nice lay down. 

Looking forward to catching #YoungStarsClassic but wondering what else to do between games? Fin recommends playing on Penticton’s two disc golf courses when in town!

Need to stretch the legs a little? Then hop on the KVR Trail. You can bike it like Fin, walk it or run it. There’s a lot of it to explore, all with stunning vistas. 

The KVR Trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail, follows the route of the former Kettle Valley Railway along Okanagan Lake. This decommissioned railroad has been repurposed as recreational trails and is very popular among walkers, runners, cyclists and sightseers.

You’ll explore trestles and tunnels while passing through varied landscapes with rich cultural and historic artifacts. It even leads you past wineries for some sampling pit-stops. View our map to see the route.
