What’s the Purpose of Picnic-ton?
With the ongoing Provincial Health restrictions, local food and drink businesses are feeling the pinch. Let’s show them we care. This Love Local initiative aims to support local businesses by encouraging locals to order takeout to enjoy at our amazing local parks and beaches.
This campaign was created by the City of Penticton's Economic Development department and supported by Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Penticton Association and Visit Penticton. This initiative follows recommendations from the COVID-19 Safe Restart Task Force to support local businesses.
How Can We Spread the Word?
First of all, order takeout. Secondly, if you nab one of the picnic packs, spread the word! Take photos of your picnic and share it on social media. Make sure to tag #picnicton and #lovelocalpenticton.
Thank you!
