Pier Replacement

The newly built Penticton Pier, with new walkways and a renovated green space along Okanagan Lake, is now open to the public. The pier's raised design will now be able to withstand high waters and is now more accessible for anyone using strollers, wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

Originally constructed more than 40 years ago, the previous pier had experienced significant wear and was no longer structurally sound. Its replacement ensures this iconic waterfront feature can continue to be enjoyed safely for years to come.

Project Features

  • Upgraded pathways for improved accessibility and connectivity
  • Enhanced landscaping, including dozens of new trees and shrubs
  • A raised pier design built to better withstand changing lake conditions

The City of Penticton acknowledges and thanks the Trans Canada Trail for its generous grant in support of this project.
