Here’s yet another reason to shop local. New businesses are popping up throughout downtown Penticton, including those offering a range of services, specialty retailers and cute shops that you’ll certainly want to explore.
Here’s a list of some of the latest additions on the block – plus a few coming soon!
Fun New Shops
Fig + Lily (416 Main Street)
They call it a “simple lifestyle store,” but it’s so much more. Think high quality vintage clothing, adorable antique items and quirky collectables. You’ll find unique items that look good on shelves and on your body. The owners say they value how each item has had a previous life, so by shopping here, you’re not only being environmentally friendly, you’re buying a piece of history. Check out their website and follow their Facebook and Instagram pages.
Newfound Treasures Boutique (246 Main Street)
Billed as an “amusement park of treasures,” you can shop for unique and hand-picked antique furniture, home décor, clothing, luggage and collectibles. Check out their website and follow their Facebook page for info.
Penticton Souvenirs, Cards and Gifts (310 Main Street)
This is a perfect spot to pick up gifts or that special something. Spend a little time exploring the displays – and you won’t want to leave empty handed. Visit their website for hours of operation.
Motortoyz (140-564 Main Street)
How would you like to zip around town on an electric scooter? This new shop specializes in the sale and service of electric scooters, e-bikes, mobility vehicles and motorcycles. Visit their website for an overview, and for Penticton-specific information, follow them on Facebook.
New Cafés and Restaurants
Meeples and Milkshakes Board Game Café (130 Westminster Ave W.)
Opening within days! This new addition combines two of our favourite things: yummy drinks and boardgames. They also offer an extensive library of games for sale. Check out their website and follow on Facebook for the latest updates.
The scoop on Tickleberry's Downtown (Main & Front Street)
This spring, Tickleberry’s will be opening its first downtown location. They’re taking over the prime space where Starbucks used to sit opposite City Hall. This new hub will feature 32 ice creams and a full coffee shop with some grab-and-go food options. They’ll also carry some gift items from their Okanagan Falls location. What a treat! Watch their website and Facebook page for updates.
Coming soon: Wild Ginger (340 Main Street)
The doors aren't open yet but we can't wait to sample their “Best of Asia” menu. Stay tuned.
And in case you missed it…
Ginza Sushi (74 Front Street)
This newly renovated Japanese restaurant has reopened in recent months with rave reviews. The two-level restaurant is modern and spacious, also offering an expanded menu with Korean dishes as well as gluten-free, keto friendly and vegan options. Visit their website and Facebook page for details.
Loki’s Garage (#84-52 Front Street)
They start from scratch with the “best local ingredients” – and it shows. Kick back on the outdoor patio for a relaxing meal packed full of flavour. Although it has only been open a matter of months, it’s already becoming a local favourite. Check out their website and Facebook page for the latest.
